• Three people hurt during home invasion in Woonsocket


    WOONSOCKET, R.I. (MyFoxBoston.com) — Woonsocket police are investigating a home invasion and robbery. It happened at about 2 a.m. Thursday in a home on West Park Place.

    Tyronne Seams and David Bunnell are in custody. According to police, when the suspects noticed the officers in the yard, they turned and ran back into the building. Police said Bunnell was holding a sawed off shotgun by his side. Bunnell and Seams were then taken into custody without further incident.

    Police said it was determined through their investigation that Bunnell and Seams went to the home address with the intent to rob the second-floor tenants of narcotics and money. During the robbery, police said multiple gunshots were fired inside the apartment, which resulted in three people being injured.  Two of them suffered several gunshot wounds and are currently being treated at Rhode Island Hospital, while the third person was treated at Landmark Medical Center for a minor injury.

    Seams, 27, of Woonsocket, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon in a dwelling house, and possession of cocaine.

    Bunnell, 21, of Franklin, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon in a dwelling house.

    Police said the tenant of the apartment, 21-year-old Keinan J. McKenna, is charged with narcotic violations.

    The investigation is still ongoing.
