This map shows where people are moving into Boston

BOSTON — This map shows population growth segmented into the different neighborhoods around the Hub.

It was created by ESRI, a company that maps data into interactive and information displays.

The darker blue portions show areas of larger population growth between 2012 and 2017, citing city and county data from the Commonwealth.

A quick overlay with Boston's MBTA map shows what some have suggested, that areas along the T are more popular.

Most of the Boston urban area has seen steady growth, with a higher rate in places like the South End and Assembly Square. But there's also been higher growth in areas along 95 and 495.
