The sun is here to stay through Wednesday

It was another gorgeous day to close out the weekend with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures ranged from the low 50s along the coast to 70 in western Massachusetts. Boston was a tad warmer than Saturday, but with a cooling sea breeze. Temps were about 10 degrees below average both Saturday and Sunday.

High pressure will continue to dominate the weather pattern for the next couple of days, but this pattern will break down midweek and the threat of showers will be back in the forecast. This wetter pattern may linger into next weekend. It won't be a washout each day, but just a higher chance of seeing some raindrops. Boston is about 4 inches below normal for total precipitation this year so far, so this is some much needed.

As for Sunday night, expect mainly clear skies, but a few low clouds may work in. Temperatures will once again be chilly, falling back into the 30s in spots, closer to 40 near the coast. Any low clouds in the morning will give way to mostly sunny skies on Monday. Winds will shift slightly and that will help bump temps up a bit with highs mainly in the mid to upper 60s to lower 70s. There will be, however, a sea breeze that keeps the immediate coast in the 50s. If you are headed to Fenway Monday evening as the Sox take on the Twins at 7:10 p.m., expect mainly clear conditions as temps will be falling in the 50s with a southeast breeze 5-10 mph. Have a great week!
