The Rock posts photo with local man after sideswiping his truck

WAKEFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Movie star and professional wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson posted a photo to Instagram recently after accidentally sideswiping a local man's truck.

Despite the minor damage, both men are all smiles in the photo.

"Look in my rear view and see I sideswiped another pick up that was parked in the street and destroyed the side mirror," Johnson recalled.

Once he realized what had happened, Johnson said he turned back to the parked truck, where the owner was just walking across the street.

Johnson said he approached the man, and told him that he sideswiped the man's mirror, "and may have done even more damage."

But the man didn't seem too concerned with his vehicle.

"He stared at me again, cocked his head sideways and said.."Uhhh.. Are you The Rock?". I said "Yup". He broke out into a huge smile and said "Wow, this is gonna be an awesome story!""

Johnson offered to exchange insurance information with the man, and pay for the damage.

"I checked back in with him a few days later and he refused to accept any money and said he fixed the damage himself," Johnson wrote on Instagram. "Want to thank Mr. Audie Bridges of Wakefield, Mass. for being so cool about the whole thing."

Bridges told FOX25 that Johnson "was very humble about the whole thing."

"I said, 'Do you mind if we take a picture together right now?' And he said, 'Oh no, that'd be great.'"

The pair took a couple photos together, Bridges said.

Johnson has been in the area filming a movie with comedian Kevin Hart.
