The Grinch who ALMOST stole Christmas arrested in Norwood

NORWOOD, Mass. — Christmas for Norwood residents has been saved thanks to a vigilant witness.

Norwood police received a phone call from someone stating they say someone steal a package from their neighbor's doorstep. The witness was able to get a suspect description, as well as the suspect's vehicle information.

Soon after the suspect and car information was sent out, an officer found a man matching the description. Police found several packages in the car that were not his.

Police arrested 43-year-old Nakia Juwan Gunter of Norwood. They then searched his home, where they found even more stolen packages.

Norwood officers then drove around town in their black and white sleighs to return the stolen property.

Gunter will appear in court on Jan. 11 for a pre-trial hearing.
