Tewksbury man arrested for alleged connection to Motel 6 stabbing

TEWKSBURY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 36-year-old man has been charged for his alleged connection to an overnight stabbing at a Tewksbury motel.

Cesar Abad, of Tewksbury, is charged with attempted murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (serious bodily injury).

Police responded to the Motel 6 on Route 38 early Monday morning on reports of a person stabbed. They say the area was locked down and the suspect, identified as Abad, was captured a short time later.

The victim was flown to a Boston area hospital with what are being described as serious injuries.

Investigators believe Abad knew the victim prior to the stabbing. They say he could face additional charges at the conclusion of the investigation.
