Teenager arrested in two Worcester armed robberies

WORCESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A Worcester teen was arrested on Tuesday for his alleged connection to two store robberies.

Police claim the unidentified 16-year-old boy robbed the College Square Shell Station on Monday morning. They also accuse him of robbing the Honey Farms Mini Market on Vernon Street on Dec. 20.

The teen is facing two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of armed robbery. Police say the teen had an existing open warrant for being a runaway from Department of Youth Services custody.

The teen will be arraigned at a later date in Worcester County District Juvenile Court.
