Teen stabbed with golf club shaft in Breakheart Reservation

WAKEFIELD, Mass. — A teenager is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed through the shoulder with the shaft of a golf club.

SkyFox video shows the victim on a gurney being taken from an ambulance to the waiting medflight while EMTs held a makeshift shield around him.

The stabbing happened in Breakheart Reservation around 4:30 p.m. after the victim got into an argument with two other young men.

"They all came in one car and another car was stolen from the scene,” police said.

Police say the suspect stole the car after stabbing the other teen, then crashed on Main Street.

"The guy looked like he was trying to get away, and there was a tow truck, it looked like he blocked him in so he couldn’t get out, there was a lot of people talking to him, he looked very nervous and then the police showed up,” a witness told FOX25 News.

Police arrested that suspect and say they’re working with the victim and another man who was there to figure out what happened.

The suspect has been identified as Curtis Day, 18, of Beverly. He is set to be arraigned Wednesday on charges that will include assault with intent to murder.
