Teachers, their students honoring U.S. soldiers through song

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Taunton music teachers and their students are honoring U.S. soldiers through song.

David Johnson and Kim Newcomb are working along with their students to hold a two-day concert called "Man in the Mirror."

The concert will to help raise money for the home-base program for soldiers suffering from PTSD and to honor the life of Taunton native Shane Duffy, who died back in 2008 while fighting for our country in Iraq.

The students told FOX 25 that they hope their music can help bring a smile to his family's face.

The two-day music fundraiser will be held Friday and Saturday at Eastern Music in Taunton and features a raffle with some amazing prizes including a signed David Ortiz Red Sox jersey.

The shows start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.
