ATTLEBORO, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A reported suspicious man prompted lockdowns at two schools in Attleboro Tuesday.
Attleboro police told FOX 25 they received a report of a man with what appeared to be a firearm in his back pocket just before 12 p.m. from Wamsutta Middle School on Locust Street.
Both Wamsutta and Hyman Fine Elementary were placed in lockdown as police investigated.
SKYFOX was over the scene at about 1 p.m. . More than half a dozen Mass. State and Attleboro police cruisers could be seen parked near the school's baseball field.
Mass. State Police announced via Twitter K-9 teams and the Air Wing were called in to assist in the investigation. There is no word on whether or not they found the man or a weapon.
Wamsutta was dismissed at about 2:30 p.m. Hyman Fine was to be dismissed at 3:30 p.m.
