Suspect sought in connection with alleged East Boston child assault

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police continue to search for the person who allegedly assaulted a child in East Boston.

Investigators were called to Waldemar Avenue in East Boston at about 6:45 p.m. on reports of an indecent assault and battery. Witnesses say the suspect, a light-skinned Hispanic man, was in the area for a while prior to the assault and ran away after the assault.

The suspect is described as a man in his mid-30s, approximately 5'5" to 5'7" tall, with a chubby build. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a white shirt with "Boston" written in red font on the front, dark blue jean shorts, and a blue hat.
