(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A 26-year-old Dorchester man accused of leading police on a chase through Lynn and attempting to run over a state trooper was arraigned on multiple charges Thursday.

Luis Rosario was arraigned on 15 counts, including assault with intent to murder and assault on a police officer, for an incident that occurred on the streets of Lynn Wednesday.

According to state police, the chase began around 3:30 p.m. when authorities attempted to pull Rosario over for a suspected narcotics violation; however, when a trooper exited his trooper, the suspect allegedly tried to run him over and fled the scene.

The chase continued until the suspect's vehicle reportedly collided with two other vehicles at the intersection of Boston Street and Franklin Street.

Rosario's vehicle became inoperable during the crash, so he reportedly carjacked another vehicle and continued to lead police through Lynn.

During the crash, an officer discharged his firearm striking the suspect in the arm. Rosario was eventually arrested Cliff Street in Lynn.

Rosario is being held on $500,000 cash bail.
