Suspect accused of threats against Boston personality held on unrelated weapons charge

(MyFoxBoston.com) – The suspect behind an alleged extortion plot was held on an unrelated weapons charge following a court appearance Friday.

The FBI released an affidavit earlier this week stating Felix Paulino tried to extort a well-known Boston personality.

The Lowell man is said to have witnessed the married celebrity hitting on women and trying to get them into the back room of the Venu night club last October.
    
Paulino allegedly contacted the celebrity's agent, saying he had "incriminating evidence" against them. He also threatened to "go viral" with it unless he was paid $20,000.
    
The affidavit claims the celeb's financial situation was the subject of media reports back in the fall of 2012.

Paulino is facing several federal charges.
