Wife of man shot during robbery in Lynn offers $1K reward

LYNN, Mass. — Lynn police are investigating a robbery and shooting caught on camera.

The incident happened on August 27 around 2:45 a.m. in the parking lot at 124 Green St. Police say the 39-year-old victim was sitting in his car when two men with guns came over to him. They took his cell phone and $50 cash.

After robbing him, the suspects both shot the man, who was still sitting in his car. Police say the man suffered non-life threatening injuries and has since been released from the hospital.

The man's wife Katerina, who for safety reasons asked to only be identified by her first name, said he had just gotten out of work as a cook when the robbery occurred.

"I love him a lot and want to catch the people that hurt him," she said.

Police are hoping people can help identify the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Lynn police at (781)595-2000.

In addition, the victim's wife is offering a $1,000 reward for whoever leads police to the suspects.

"I can offer $1,000 at this time. Please call if you know something.it would be beneficial to you and keep the streets a little safer," she said.
