• Surveillance video of baby shower brawl released


    STOUGHTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Surveillance video from a baby shower that resulted in a brawl and four arrests has been released by police.

    Several police departments were called to Club Luiz De Camoes at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday for the report of several fights.

    When officers arrived, they said they found adults fighting in front of several young children. When officers tried to clear the building even more fights broke out.

    In the video a man can be seen throwing a chair as officers enter the club. A number of officers approach the man and ultimately take him down.

    Other officers attempt to control members of the crowd as people gather around. Other members of the crowd can be seen pulling children away from the fight.

    Another angle from behind the bar shows a bottle flying at the bartender into the bar area. She was not hit.

    Some officers were assaulted; one man was stunned with a stun gun. Four officers suffered minor injuries.

    More than 200 people were at the baby shower, which was scheduled from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

    Patrick Cardoso Lopes and Paulo Pires Depina, both, 24, as well as 22-year-old Aderito Lopes Deandrade, were arrested and pleaded not guilty at their arraignment Monday. They were released on $1,000 bail.

    The Brockton men face charges including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer. The men had no comment outside court.

    A 14-year-old boy was also arrested, but his name was not released.
