SURVEILLANCE PHOTO: Somerville Police looking for assault suspect

SOMERVILLE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Somerville Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man accused of indecently assaulting a woman inside a local supermarket.

Police say an 18-year-old woman was inside the supermarket at about 6 p.m. on Labor Day when the man approached her from behind and indecently assaulted her. The man then quickly fled the store, leaving on a dark-colored mountain bicycle in the direction of Union Square.

The victim described the suspect as a dark-skinned white male, between 30 and 35 years old, standing about 6' tall, average build, with short, dark hair. She also described the shirt he was wearing as a painter's t-shirt.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call Somerville Police at 617-625-1600.
