Sunday brings a mix of sun and clouds

Temps will continue to be on the chilly side Saturday night, dropping into the 20s and 30s. Few scattered clouds will advance into the region ahead of a warm front that will bring milder conditions to the area on Sunday. With a mix of sun and clouds, temperatures will reach the upper 50s to low 60s.

However winds will strengthen through the day from the southwest and that will keep temperatures cooler along the south coast, Cape and Islands with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.

With dry and breezy conditions on Sunday… there will be an elevated risk of fire potential. Careful if you are outside cooking or burning or anything, as well as, disposing any cigarettes. Grasses and leaf litter may quickly ignite and could spread rapidly with gusty southerly winds in the afternoon.

A weak cold front will pass the area late Sunday that may yield a few showers, but Monday should be a dry day. With mostly sunny skies, highs will be in the low to mid 60s. A sea breeze will develop keeping it cooler along the coast. It should be a great day at Fenway for the Red Sox home opener!
