Student passes out at Kingston school

KINGSTON (AP) - Kingston fire officials say several students passedout during choir practice at Silver Lake Regional Middle School, and one wastransported to the hospital.

The department's secretary says a girl passed out on stage Wednesdaymorning, and six other students followed suit.

Just the first student to pass out was taken to the hospital. The otherswere treated at the scene and appear to be OK.

It's unclear what caused the fainting spell, but there was no structuraldamage to the stage area.
