Stoughton men face charges in roommate's death

STOUGHTON, Mass. (AP) - Two Stoughton men facing charges in connection with the weekend death of their housemate have been ordered held on $100,000 bail.

Fifty-year-old Robert Westbrooks and 40-year-old Edward Aguiar both pleaded not guilty to charges of domestic assault and battery at their arraignment Monday in Stoughton District Court.

Both men were arrested Saturday after 52-year-old Jonathan Munro was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, where he was pronounced dead.

All three men lived at the same address.

Prosecutors say there was "an apparent altercation" at the address.

Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey and Stoughton Police Chief Paul Shastany say an autopsy was scheduled on the body and the investigation remains open.
