State Police use spike strip to stop stolen truck

CHARLTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Mass. State Police used a tire deflation device to stop a stolen truck that was transporting ice cream on Wednesday.

A trooper, who was assisting Worcester Police in stopping the truck, had to deploy the device twice after the back tires were too thick to be pierced. On the second try, the device hit the front tires and deflated them.

The suspect was stopped in Charlton and turned over to Worcester Police.
