State Police, K9 end search for suspicious person seen near kids in Sherborn

SHERBORN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Sherborn elementary school was in lock-down while police searched the area for a suspicious person seen near young students Wednesday.

A suspicious person was spotted near the Pine Hill Elementary School, prompting the school to transport the students to a local fire station. Two students reported seeing a man with a gun walking in the woods near the school. A Mass. State Police helicopter was up searching for the person and the Natick Police Department K9 was also on scene, but no threats were found and no one was taken into custody.

All of the students are safe and accounted for.
