State police identify victims in fiery RI crash

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (AP) — State police have identified a 77-year-old woman who was killed in a fiery two-car crash in West Greenwich that injured four other people.

Troopers say Dorothy Corp of Coventry died in Saturday's accident on Route 3 near Interstate 95. She was a passenger in an SUV that burst into flames after being struck by a car. People at the scene tried to get her out of the SUV but couldn't.

Corp's husband, 79-year-old Bruce H. Corp, and their son, 53-year-old Bruce A. Corp, were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The elder Bruce Corp was driving.

Two people in the other car, 42-year-old Dina Damico and her 65-year-old mother Kathleen Damico from Pennsylvania, were also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident's cause remains under investigation.
