(MyFoxBoston.com) – A Bristol, Conn. woman injured during a car crash on Route 91 in Longmeadow was charged with several firearm charges after troopers discovered a gun and several rounds of ammunition she was not licensed to carry inside the car.
Jailene Diaz-Ramos, 19, was involved in a crash on Route 91 northbound in Longmeadow on June 21. She was transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where she was treated and released.
Troopers inspected the woman's car following the crash and found Diaz-Ramos in possession of a gun and rounds of ammunition which she is not licensed to possess. She was charged with possession of a firearm without a FID card, possession of ammunition without a FID card, and improper storage of a firearm.
Diaz-Ramos was booked at the State Police Barracks in Springfield on these charges. She was arraigned and released on bail after her initial appearance at Springfield District Court.
