State police aid search for missing girl, 5, in South Hadley

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Mass. State Police and officers from the South Hadley Police Dept. are searching the Connecticut River for a missing 5-year-old girl.

According to state police, troopers responded to a residence on Cove Island Road in South Hadley at about 9:25 p.m. Saturday for a report of a missing child who possibly fell into the river.

The Mass. State Police's Air Wing and Dive Team division were also sent in to assist with the search.

The investigation is ongoing.
