Spike in overdose deaths in Massachusetts

(MyFoxBoston.com) – There's been a significant increase in overdose deaths over the past 10 years in Massachusetts, but a sudden spike in these deaths in Boston has prompted officials to alert treatment and homeless shelters about the possibility of something more potent being sold on city streets.

We were recently joined by addiction specialist William Drinkwater, an educator in the UMass-Boston addiction counselor education program. Willy teaches the substance abuse with co-occurring disorders course.
