BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Dog owners in South Boston are on high alert amid rumors that someone has been poisoning food and throwing it into yards in the area of North Street and Farragut Park.
The owner of a local pet hotel told The Metro that an e-mail has been circulating among South Boston residents warning them that someone may have thrown hamburger and peanut butter tainted with rat poison over fences in two yards on North Street and Farragut Street.
Two Chihuahuas died from the alleged poisonings.
The Boston Police Department is investigating the reported poisonings.
