Somerville police warn residents of recent robberies near Tufts

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) - Somerville and Tufts University police are warning the public about a series of robberies, the most recent of which happened early Friday morning.

Investigators say the three robberies occurred in between Davis Square and Tufts. All three occurred in the area of Powderhouse Blvd., Leonard Street, Cottage Avenue, and Walker Street.

Three people have been arrested in connection to one of the robberies, however police are still asking residents to remain vigilant. Anyone with information is asked to call Somerville police at 617-625-1212.
