Slay trial to begin for 'Clark Rockefeller' in Calif.

LOS ANGELES (MyFoxBoston.com) – The man who called himself "Clark Rockefeller" will go on trial for murder in California.

Christian Gerhartsreiter, who has already been convicted of kidnapping, is accused of killing his former landlord in California and burying the man in his backyard.

Jury selection in the case begins Monday. The victim, Jonathan Sohus, and his wife, Linda, both disappeared in 1985. Jonathan's body was found in 1994. Linda remains missing.

Gerhartsreiter went by the name Chris Chichester at the time and left California shortly after the couple disappeared. He eventually ended up in New England and is currently serving a five-year prison sentence for kidnapping his daughter from the Back Bay in 2008.
