Slain MIT officer honored with ride along Boston Marathon route

(MyFoxBoston.com) – The memory of the marathon bombing victims will never be forgotten, and on Sunday, hundreds of motorcycle riders came together to honor slain MIT Police Officer Sean Collier.

Riders came from all around the country for the 65-mile ride that took them along the Boston Marathon route and over the marathon finish line.

Sean's father attended the event and says he is still overwhelmed by the amount of support people have shown since his son's death.

In addition to honoring Sean, who allegedly died at the hands of the Boston Marathon bombings suspects, proceeds from the event benefited The Jimmy Fund.
