Shots ring out during argument over sandwich at Dunkin' Donuts

BROCKTON, Mass. — Investigators said a young woman attacked a Dunkin' Donuts manager and shot at the drive-thru window after an argument over a sandwich.

Brockton police said the young woman, whom they described as a teenager, drove up to the Dunkin' Donuts near the Westgate Mall in a black Infiniti sedan with a group of friends Thursday afternoon.

They said one of the teens became irate over a sandwich order. One of them punched the store manager and someone fired a bb gun at the drive-thru window, shattering it.

“People are intolerant, impatient and quick to get angry over something that doesn’t really mean anything,” JoAnne Gunn, of Dorchester, said.

Brockton police are investigating the incident, but so far no arrests have been made.

The manager was able to write the car’s license plate number down, so that should be a big help to police.
