Shoplifter brandishes needle, shouts 'I have AIDS'

SALEM, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) Police in New Hampshire are hoping to identify a man accused of brandishing a hypodermic needle while trying to steal from a hardware store.

Investigators say two men tried to steal several saw blades from the Lowe's Store in Salem at about 10 a.m. on Tuesday. When they were approached by a store loss prevention worker, one of the men pulled out a needle and began yelling, "I have AIDS!"

The worker let the suspects leave and they fled in a 2001 Nissan Maxima with Mass. license plate 3PVF20.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for one of the alleged suspects, 32-year-old Victor Garcia of Lawrence. Garcia was arrested last month for another theft.

Police are still looking for the second suspect, who they have not identified. Anyone with information should contact Salem Police.

Investigators say both men are accused of committing similar thefts in Lowe's stores throughout Mass. and N.H.
