Sexual assault reported near pond in Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Police in Bridgewater are investigating a reported sexual assault in the area of Carvers Pond.

Investigators say a woman was walking near Carvers Pond on Summer Street at about 10 p.m. on Thursday night when she was grabbed from behind and assaulted.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 6' tall, with some facial hair. He was wearing a black hoodie at the time of the assault.

Bridgewater Police ask all residents to exercise caution when walking at night.
