Seven displaced after fire in Somerville

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Another fire swept through a home in Somerville.

Seven people were reportedly displaced, including an infant. It happened at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday at a three-story house on Dickerson Street, which is near Inman Square.

A family's dog was initially unaccounted for, but the dog came running over as firefighters were cleaning up. The dog is OK. The family wasn't home at the time of the fire and no one was injured.

The Red Cross has stepped in to help.

Officials are working with state fire investigators.

This blaze is one of several that have occurred in Somerville over the past three months, four of which have been confirmed as arson.

Officials said the cause of this fire still hasn't been determined, but it doesn't appear to share any similarities with the other fires in the city.
