Sen. Brown under fire for receiving donations from NECC head

FRAMINGHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Senator Scott Brown is coming under fire after reports show that a founder of a compounding pharmacy at the center of a deadly meningitis outbreak is one of his campaign donors.

Federal Election Commission reports show Gregory Conigliaro, one of the founders of the New England Compounding Center, donated $2,500 to Brown in June 2012.

In September, Conigliaro also held a fundraiser for Brown at his home in Southborough. The fundraiser was held before Conigliaro's company was tied to a fungal meningitis outbreak that has killed 14 people.

Senator Brown says he plans to donate $10,000 to the Meningitis Foundation of America.
