Search warrant executed in connection with Blackstone pipe bomb investigation

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Federal agents raided the home of a Bellingham High School science teacher this week - one month after a homemade pipe bomb exploded under the car of the town's high school principal.

The science teacher's son tells Boston 25 News more than a dozen ATF agents burst into their home Tuesday.

Michael McNamara said his mother is the subject of a police investigation into who placed a bomb under the car of the Bellingham High Principal Lucas Giguere.

The pipe bomb was placed under his Jeep at his home in Blackstone.

He said his mother didn't want him speaking to reporters, but "enough is enough."

Investigators executed a search warrant at his mother's home in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, McNamara said.

"They bashed the doors in. Didn't even knock," McNamara said. "We would have let them in. We told them before, they could search the house and they didn't choose to do it that way."

McNamara says his mother is innocent, and has an alibi. He said she is on administrative leave from Bellingham High - but it's for an unrelated investigation.
