Search called off for missing Watertown man

NAHANT, Mass. — Officials have called for the search for a Watertown man reported missing after his vehicle was spotted abandoned near the water in Nahant over the weekend.

Nolan Gargas, 26, of Watertown, was reported missing after authorities found his car at the East Point parking lot around 10 a.m. Sunday.

Officials said there was no indication that he was in the water, but the Coast Guard was called in around 5:30 p.m. Sunday to help after a search that lasted hours turned up nothing.

Gargas is 6 feet 2 inches tall and was last seen wearing a green and white plaid shirt.
