SALEM, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Salem Police arrested one of their own officers in connection with excessive force allegations Wednesday.
It all started in late October when the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office notified the Salem Police Department that they were conducting an investigation into Officer Joseph Freda because of excessive force allegations. Freda was placed on paid administrative leave immediately and cooperated with the investigation. The Salem Police Department also conducted their own investigation.
After the department's investigation, Freda was placed on unpaid administrative leave pending a hearing that is scheduled for next week and was arrested Wednesday.
