ROXBURY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A man was arrested on drug charges after police targeted drug activity in Roxbury.
As part of an ongoing effort to eliminate illegal drug activity, members of the District E-13 Neighborhood Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant for a home on Washington Street in Roxbury. At around 7:39 p.m. Wednesday, officers entered the home and seized a large quantity of Heroin, over 50 grams of Cocaine, more than $8,000, and drug paraphernalia. Officers arrested a 22 year-old male from Boston and charged him with trafficking class A (Heroin) and class B (Cocaine) drugs.
"This is a significant bust in that it sends a strong, clear message to those dealing drugs in our neighborhoods that - if you choose to deal drugs in our city - we will find you and effectively prosecute you," Superintendent Robert Merner said in a release.
The investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests could be made.
