Ron Burgundy to visit Emerson College campus

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Ron Burgundy, er, Will Ferrell, will be visiting EmersonCollege to promote his new movie, "Anchorman 2: The LegendContinues."

The comedy great's news anchor character, Ron Burgundy, willvisit the communication and performing arts college on Wednesday, Dec. 4, for aday of activities celebrating the anchorman.

For one day, Emerson's School of Communication will berenamed to the "Ron Burgundy School of Communication." Additionally, Burgundy, who is known for his hair andcoined the phrase "You stay classy, San Diego," will "share his path tojournalism greatness" with students at the school.

After a morning press conference and the official schoolnaming ceremony, Emerson students and faculty will have the chance to watch ascreening of the new Anchorman movie, with an introduction by Ferrell.

"A visit from Ron Burgundy is a chance to engage withsomeone who understands the power of media, as well as hairspray, first-hand,"said Emerson College President Lee Pelton in a statement.

In addition to Anchorman 2, premiering Dec. 20, Burgundy –or is it Ferrell? – is releasing a book Tuesday, called "Let Me Off at the Top!My Classy Life and Other Musings."
