Road rage led to fatal shooting of Lynn delivery driver, investigators say

LYNN, Mass. — Investigators say the fatal shooting of a delivery driver in Lynn earlier this week stemmed from road rage.

The news comes as 21-year-old Brian Brito, of Manchester, New Hampshire, is arraigned on murder charges in Lynn District Court.

A memorial now stands on Bowler Street where the District Attorney’s Office said Brito gunned down Sina Zangiband as he was making a food delivery for work.

Court documents obtained by FOX25 cites three witnesses and surveillance video, with one witness saying a man got out of an Audi with New Hampshire license plates and shot Zangiband four or five times.

As FOX25 reported earlier this week, Massachusetts State Police pulled Brito over in an Audi with New Hampshire license plates and said they found a loaded gun in the vehicle.

Zangiband’s family is calling for Brito to be put to death, but that is not an option in state court.

“Look at him. He was handsome,” mother Shahin Zangiband said. “Look at him. How could he take him from me?”

“I lost the love of my life,” sister Soma Zangiband said. “I lost my brother. I can’t get him back. But I’m glad they caught the devil.”

The District Attorney’s Office said that after killing Zangiband, Brito robbed a North Andover convenience store and raped the clerk.

Brito will be arraigned on the murder charge on Thursday.
