Risque Facebook photos believed to be at center of NH stabbing

NASHUA, NH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Investigators in New Hampshire believe risqué photos posted on Facebook led to the stabbing of a 20-year-old woman on Wednesday.

According to the Union Leader, Nicole Lemay, 19, of Nashua, is accused of stabbing 20-year-old Angelica Morales with a steak knife seven times on Wednesday night.

Morales and her mother reportedly approached Lemay's mother, Kristy, at a shopping center to discuss photos posted on Facebook Sunday. Angelica Morales' sister, Caroline, is believed to have sent photos of herself in her underwear to a man named Joey Ortiz. Those photos were obtained by Kristy who posted them on Facebook.

Kristy reportedly told the Morales women that they could discuss the incident at her home.

Angelica Morales accuses Nicole Lemay of approaching her with knife in hand when they arrived at the home. Nicole was reportedly swinging the knife around. Investigators believe Angelica sustained lacerations and wounds as a result of Nicole swinging the knife. The alleged altercation ended after the girls fell to the ground and began fighting for possession of the knife.

Kristy Lemay has reportedly told police that Angelica and her mother began attacking her when they arrived to her home and that she never saw her daughter with a knife in her hand.

Angelica was treated for her wounds at a medical center in New Hampshire. Lemay is facing seven counts of first-degree assault and one count each of criminal threatening and reckless conduct.

The man who received the photos, Joey Ortiz, has been arrested for hiding the knife used in the alleged attack.
