MANSFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Rhode Island woman was killed in a single-car crash on Route 95 in Mansfield Sunday morning.
Troopers responded to the crash on the southbound side of Route 95 prior to Exit 6B at about 5:21 a.m.
Upon arrival, troopers concluded an SUV was heading southbound when the driver lost control, hit a guardrail in the breakdown lane, and went into the woodline. The driver, later identified as a 24-year-old Phoenix Smith, of Cranston, R.I., was trapped inside the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
No other information was immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
