RI man killed in two car crash on Route 28 in Somerville

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Rhode Island man was killed in a two car crash on Route 28 in Somerville early Tuesday morning.

Mass. State Police troopers responded to the crash at the intersection of Route 28 and Mystic Avenue at about 4:35 a.m.

Mark Gray, 50, of Boston, was driving one of the vehicles in the crash, a 2002 Suburban. He was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Enrique Rivera, 67, of Central Falls, R.I., was driving the other vehicle, a 1995 VW Jetta. He was transported to Mass. General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Cathleen Torres, 49, of Pawtucket, R.I., was traveling with Rivera and suffered minor injuries.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
