R.I. man indicted in 2011 murder of Avon man

AVON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 27-year-old Rhode Island man was held without bail Thursday following his indictment for the 2011 murder of an Avon man.

Willie Wilkerson pled not guilty in Norfolk Superior Court in the Sept. 19, 2011 murder of Kristopher Rosa.

Wilkerson was arrested on July 21 at his home in Lincoln. Investigators say the 27-year-old had previously been charged with procuring perjury in connection to Rosa's murder.

A second suspect, Rhandisyn Lawrence, has already been charged with murder for their alleged connection to the murder.

Kristopher Rosa was shot to death while driving on Central Street in Avon. His girlfriend, who was a passenger in the car, drove him to Good Samaritan Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.
