CHATHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Researchers working to tag sharks in the waters off Cape Cod had a busy day Thursday after spotting three Great Whites.
Crews working with OCEARCH took to Twitter to discuss their work. They say they spotted three Great Whites in one hour, including one shark that was over 15 feet long.
The group tagged and named one female shark "Betsy." The Great White measured about 14 1/2 feet long.
In July, OCEARCH researchers launched the largest Great White Shark expedition in the nation's history in the waters off Cape Cod.
FOX 25's Kevin Lemanowicz recently joined the expedition. Click here to see his report.
