Rescuers still searching for missing Marion man

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Fairhaven police are continuing to search for a missing Marion man, though they reported no new developments in the search on Sunday.

Dana Dourdeville, a 21-year-old man and Brown University student, has been missing since Tuesday. Dourdeville told his mother he was going duck hunting, and brought his kayak with him. His kayak was found off West Island in Fairhaven Tuesday night, but Dourdeville was not.

The search was suspended late last week due to the winter storm that struck. The Massachusetts Environmental Police are leading the investigation, and Fairhaven police officers are checking the eastern shoreline of the town on foot.

The Southeastern Massachusetts underwater search and recovery team will meet this week to discuss search options. According to Fairhaven police, there are hundreds of square miles to search in the area of Buzzards Bay where the kayak was found.

Dourdeville is described as a thin, white male with brown hair. He is about 5'10" tall and was last seen wearing brown pants and a red life jacket.
