Reports of couple at center of NH child abuse case spotted in Malden

PLAISTOW, NH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) There were unconfirmed sightings in Malden on Saturday of a couple accused of abusing a 3-year-old New Hampshire boy.

Police received calls about two different sightings of Jessica Linscott, 23, and her boyfriend, 27-year-old Roland Dow, in Malden. One happened at Walgreen's and another happened at Stop and Shop.

The couple was believed to be spotted at the Walmart and the Motel 6 in Danvers on Friday. There have been several reported sightings of the couple in Lynn, Swampscott, and North Andover over the past few days.

Linscott's 3-year-old son, James Nicholson, received another brain surgery on Friday night and remained in the intensive care unit on Saturday. Both Linscott and Dow are the focus of a child abuse investigation related to the James' injuries.

The Plaistow mother dropped her 3-year-old son off at a hospital a week ago. James sustained a brain injury, massive bruising, a visual impairment, and burns. Linscott said those injuries were self-inflicted and she hasn't been seen since.

Dow is facing first and second-degree felony child abuse. Linscott is facing six counts of endangering a child.
