Report: woman facing animal cruelty charges lived in "filthy" conditions with two children

LAWRENCE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A Lawrence woman is facing felony animal cruelty charges after the MSPCA accused her of starving two dogs to death.

Raisa Reyes, 26, is scheduled for arraignment in November after investigators say they found a terrier who had been dead for at least a week and a pitbull who had to be euthanized, reports the Eagle-Tribune.

Investigators say the pitbull was nearly 30 pounds underweight and deyhydrated. Reyes said the dog would not eat for her.

The terrier was reportedly found inside a trash bag.

Investigators described Reye's apartment where she lived with her two children as "filthy" to the Eagle-Tribune.
