Report: Possible second suspect in BPD shooting arrested on parole violation

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Another man possibly involved in the shooting of two Boston police officers has been arrested.

According to the Boston Herald, 20-year-old Donta Lewis was arrested for a parole violation Thursday night after police found him hiding in the crawl space of his girlfriend's apartment.

Police say Lewis placed himself at the scene of the Wednesday night shooting that left one suspect dead and two plain-clothed police officers injured.

The shooting took place after the two undercover drug control unit officers approached two people they believed to be acting in a suspicious manner near 1500 Dorchester Avenue. When the officers stepped out of their car and identified themselves, police say one of the suspects pulled a gun and fired. The officers returned fire, hitting 20-year-old Roudy Hendricks, of Brockton. Hendricks died as a result of his injuries.
