Report: NH woman fatally shot by police had criminal history

MANCHESTER, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Friends are revealing new details about a woman who died following a chase with police in New Hampshire.

According to the Union Leader, the woman, who friends identify as Wendy Lawrence, had a history of run ins with the law and was scared of police. The newspaper says she was arrested in the past for assault and drug possession.

Lawrence was on her way to Concord when the chase began on Interstate 89 in Bow and went south 12 miles into Manchester.

Residents in the neighborhood where Lawrence was killed said they saw her car between two cruisers and bullet holes in the windshield.

While police have not identified the woman, friends say lived in Canterbury.

The New Hampshire attorney general's office is investigating the fatal use of force.
